Ella goes undercover

Ella was doing really well with her toilet training until Andrew dropped by today. She wet her jeans 3 times in a bout an hour. I think she was just excited to see Andrew. Oh, and Christine hogging the bathroom to rip off the wall paper probably didnt help. It's great how Christine can't go 6 weeks without doing some form of DIY around here. And the plans she has? Well, that's another 6 blog posts...

So Ella saw her Aunt Jenny last weekend and found out that Jenny has 2 babies in her tummy. As soon as Ella gets home she puts 2 of her dolls under her shirt and tells us she has 2 babies. For a second I thought she was talking about Christine and I bolted for the car to head for Kansas, but I heard wrong. I mean, Kansas is one spot that I might head to, but I could go ANYWHERE if that happened. Kidding.

It's funny because Im constantly impressed by how well Ella speaks and new words she knows, but as soon as someone comes over, they don't understand anything she says. I guess "Russian for Tots" might have been a bad idea after all.

Ella also is really in to Knock Knock jokes these days. Here's an example: "Knock knock Papa!"
"Who's there?"
"Apple!"
"Apple who?"
"Ummmmmm. Apple in kitchen!"
"Hahahahahaha!"

Apple is always the star of the joke and what makes them so hilarious.

The other Ella loves is the phone. Yesterday we were walking to the park together and I got a call on my cell phone from my friend Colwyn. After I hung up, Ella stopped walking and reached into her jacket pocket, pulled out her hand (shaped like a phone) and put it to her ear. "Hello. I go park with Simon. Mama go Zellers with baby Cameron. Ok. Ok. Ok. Ok. Ok. Bye." She put the 'phone' away and we kept walking. She never looked at me or anything.

Then Colwyn came over for dinner and to hang out, and Ella asked me if she could "share my friend Colwyn". Then today when Andrew was here she wanted to share him as well. It's good she talks like that but she never actually shares her toys.

Here are some shots of her Ella-ness. She was really into that hat and those shades for a while, but they seem to be gone now. Then there the shots of her in the motherly way (and showing her 2 fingers for 2 babies). And of course wearing her new 'swimming' goggles. Kids are crazy and you gotta love them.
