Trip to Gatineau & the Ham

Last weekend we made the trek to Ottawa to visit my family. The drive started out with a bang as I was pulled over for speeding. No worries though, I used the 'Cooper Charm' to get out of the massive fine. Christine's new Toyota Matrix has 225 horsepower – who knew?

It was great to see everyone in Gatineau (Aylmer) and Wakefield (The Ham). My Grandmother even made the trip from the Eastern Townships in Quebec to see us (thanks GM!). We were all very happy to see as its a long way to go to see her in Sherbrooke where she lives.

My Bro-in-Law Michael and Delilah and I went skiing one day. It was great to hit the slopes in Vorlage, where I grew up skiing. And even better was the fact that I didnt break my leg, or Michael's awesome Swiss skis. I thought I'd test them out, so I did a triple back flip with a sow-tow and stuck the landing. They're OK I guess.

Ella came to watch and seemed pretty keen to hit the hills. She stole someones ski pole as they went ripping past us. Almost took the persons arm off. Shes strong that one.

It was great to be home and to see everyone. We just need to move Ottawa and Toronto closer together somehow...
