Ella Goes West

This weekend we packed up the family car and headed west to the Kirklands cottage so that Ella could meet some more of her Mum's family. In the future Ella will probably be spending a lot of time at the cottage so it was great to see that she really digs it there.

After the drive up Saturday morning we had lunch and then Donny, Kendra, Vic and Kathy all came over to meet Ella. Kathy made Ella a beautiful quilt and gave her a bear called 'Barrister Pushalik' (or something like that). I didnt take any pictures. I apologize. Ella showed off her fancy Bumbo chair and her ability to stand up and weave like a drunkard.

After that we went to meet Ella's Great Great Aunt Het. Het is a riot. Ella was lucky because Katherine and Betty also stopped in as well as Kathy and Vic again. Het immediately said "bring her here I don't care about the rest of you". I think she was kidding but I stayed outside just in case.

After a good visit and more great gifts (some books and an ornament from Katherine and Betty and some homemade relishes and fudge from Het) we headed back to the cottage. Curt dropped in on his way out to say hello to Ella. Peg came over for dinner and stayed for a while. She was very impressed with Ellas jeans (which are very hot in Paris right now so Peg really is on the ball with her fashion).

Check out the photo of Ella and Peg. Ella was tired after a long day but then her new favourite toy 'Steve' the Glo-worm popped up and got a smile out of Ella.

Tom then stopped by and caught Ella just as she was getting cranky. Christine shipped her off to bed even though we all protested. Christine is boss. Dont any of you ever forget that. Ever.

All in all a great weekend.
