Lordy, Lordy, look who's 40

The pic at the bottom with the old dude, is actually one of my 40th b-day parties. Ella helped Christine make me a cake and was SUPER excited about my birthday. She could barely contain herself about it. She was constantly talking about it, telling me about the cake (which was supposed to be a surprise) and giving me a variety of 'presents'. The presents were her toys, wrapped in a page from a colouring book. I think the final presents were a plastic pig and a little doll with a ton of hair and a tiny brush. Awesome.

Cameron couldn't have cared less. Besides, all Cameron does is motor around the house laughing, kissing random people, cats and toys, and breaking stuff. She was pretty happy about the cake though.

The other pic is of Fugly and Big-O sleeping on the couch. Whenever the girls put one of their 40 babies to sleep, Cameron walks around saying "SHHHHHHHH"! as soon as you say anything. Very tough carrying on a conversation when a baby is asleep.

The girls are hilarious these days. But better than that, they are both (almost) able to put on their own P.J's. Christine and I realized tonight how awesome it is that we could relax after dinner while the girls actually put on P.J's before bed. Four years, three months. That's how long its been since we did that (except for the odd time when the girls get pawned off on Grandma and Grandpa).

Ella's imagination is unbelievable. She spends hours talking to herself, or her dolls or toys. A bit like me on the average day. Except my dolls talk back. Snicker. It's actually pretty cool. The only time it's a bit much is when she talks non-stop to us and NOTHING makes any sense. I just say "Un-huh. Wow. Mmmmmmm. Neat." Christine often talks my ear off too, but she's a bit trickier to fool. I usually have to half pay attention. Kidding. My wife is the greatest.
