Ella's First Crimbo = Fun Fun Fun

First of all let me say how dissapointed Ella was to not get her 50 inch high definition, flat screen plasma TV. I had to give her the old "You see Honey, its not that Santa doesnt want you to have a swanky new beautiful TV, its just that Mummy cant afford it right now. But with Dads birthday right around the corner we might still luck out." This is my last pathetic attempt. Im not optimistic about this at all and neither is Ella. (Jan. 6th is my birthday though for those who were wondering.)
Anyway Ella had a fantastic first Christmas. We put up a tree (a sort of sad tree that I swear looked way bigger at Canadian Tire. They put them up on theses massive boxes to make them look huge. Keep that in mind if you go) and decorated it. We invited the Kirklands over on the 24th for dinner. We made the salad and Grandma K brought the rest. Thanks Grandma K. Jenny and Mike had to go to Mike's family's dinner and showed up later, just in time to see us shred open our gifts like mad people. They just made it – two minutes later and we would have started without them and locked the doors. We all got great stuff. Ella was thrilled with her gifts and showed just how thrilled by sleeping soundly through the gift opening.
As a side note, if anyone is shopping for a paper shredder and cant find one, I know why. It seems that the Kirklands cleaned out every retailler this side of Winterpeg. If you really need one let me know and I'll see what I can do.
In the pics you can see the one I like best – she's wearing her Ottawa Sens outfit (from Brian and Mandy, thx) and her Kingston Brew Pub Bib (compliments of my Pops - ta). Also you can see her new cool trick, lying on her stomach and lifting her head. No push ups yet but she did read War And Peace to me last week.
