Hockey Night in Canada Interview

Wow. Not sure if many of you caught it, but Ella was a guest on HNIC this past Saturday (as the Senators dismantled the Buffalo Wings). Heres a bit of the interview:

Ron MacLean: Hello Ella, first off who's your pick to win the Stanley Cup this year?

Ella M. Cooper: The Sens Ron. What kind of a question is that?

RM: Well you never know! So you're a Sens fan then I take it?

EC: Of course. I actually had a walk on tryout last summer. They needed some help on the blue line.

RM: So what happened?

EC: Well, it was close Ron. They chose Joe Corvo over me, but John Muckler told me it came down to the last day of tryouts.

RM: Did he tell you why they went with Corvo?

EC: Yeah, they did. It's because he's a full grown man. I'm only a baby girl Ron.

RM: Oh, I see. Any chance of getting a spot for next season?

EC: My agent is in talks with them right now. We'll see what they put on the table. I'm optimistic.

RM: What do ou think you need to do to make the squad?

EC: I need to play hard for 60 minutes Ron. And I need to stay focused. It's a team game, so I feel like if I do my part, we can all be succesful.

Well done Ella! I'm such a proud Dad.
